Biography

Aleksandra is a recognized jeweler with a unique sense of style, flair, and a well-defined signature that carries through all her wearable sculptures. She has over 20 years of professional art and teaching experience.
Aleksandra’s aesthetic philosophy is anchored in real feelings and raw emotion expressed through dynamic forms, carved into metal. She reconstructs metal surfaces, experiments with contrasts and shifts balance points, to achieve a sense of movement in her compositions. Her design interests are global and reflect cultural diversity.
In addition to jewelry creation, Aleksandra is an accomplished ceramics artist and sculptor. She channeled her skills of working with clay into jewelry through carving, casting and smithing. Intrigued by the complexity of edges, textures and mixed materials, she works with gold and silver to explore the three-dimensional forms and adds accents with pearls and lava, silk and coral, diamonds and raw stones.
Aleksandra's exceptional work has been acknowledged with national awards and featured in international publications and exhibits, including Craft Forms and NICHE awards in multiple categories. Her work is also featured in permanent collections at numerous museums.
Teaching has become another gratifying outlet for her energy and creativity. She emphasizes rigorous attention to detail and provides ample opportunities for skill honing and self-expression. Aleksandra holds a Master of Fine Arts and Education from one of Russia's top Universities.
